Google Analytics & Facebook Pixel
How to connect GA4 and Meta Pixel to your organiser profile to track traffic sources and conversions.
Why Connect Tracking
Connecting Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Facebook Pixel adds their scripts to your events' public pages. After that, you can analyse traffic and conversion data in the relevant external tools:
- GA4 — in your Google Analytics account (analytics.google.com)
- Facebook Pixel — in Meta Events Manager (business.facebook.com/events_manager)
Where It's Set
Portal → Settings → Integrations
Settings apply at the organiser level and cover all of that organiser's events.
Connecting Google Analytics 4 (GA4)
Step 1: Get your Measurement ID
- Open Google Analytics
- Select your property (or create a new one)
- Go to Admin → Data streams → select your web stream
- Copy the Measurement ID — it starts with
G-, for exampleG-XXXXXXXXXX
Step 2: Paste the ID into TixFlow
- In the portal, go to Settings → Integrations
- Paste the Measurement ID into the "Google Analytics 4 (GA4)" field
- Click "Save"
Tracking activates immediately for all of this organiser's event pages.
Connecting Facebook Pixel
Step 1: Get your Pixel ID
- Open Meta Events Manager
- Select your pixel (or create a new one)
- Copy the Pixel ID — it's a numeric identifier, for example
1234567890123456
Step 2: Paste the ID into TixFlow
- In the portal, go to Settings → Integrations
- Paste the Pixel ID into the "Facebook Pixel" field
- Click "Save"
What Exactly Gets Tracked
The GA4 and Facebook Pixel scripts record standard page-view events on your event pages. This lets you see, in the relevant dashboards:
- The number of visitors and where they're located
- Referral sources
- User behaviour on the event page
FAQ
Does tracking work for all events or only new ones?
For all of the organiser's public events — both existing and new — right after you save the settings.
Can I use different GA4 properties for different events?
No. Tracking is set at the organiser level and applies to all of its events. For different properties, create separate organiser profiles.
The data in TixFlow and GA4 can differ — why?
GA4 counts all page visits, whereas TixFlow's traffic sources widget only counts orders with an attributed source. The discrepancy is normal: not every visitor becomes a buyer.
Do I need to set up events in GA4 manually?
No. TixFlow automatically sends basic page-view events. For advanced tracking (purchase, add_to_cart), additional configuration may be needed on the GA4 side.
Does tracking slow down event pages?
Negligibly. The GA4 and Pixel scripts load asynchronously and don't block the page from rendering.
